For today’s card, I took my inspirations from the cover of a recent Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine. I loved the wood background with the purples and yellows. The Stampin’ Up! Wood Textures Designer Series Paper and Country Lane Designer Series Paper were just what I needed to create my version.
I used several layers to create my greeting. The “Happy Thanksgiving” comes from the Pleasant Pheasants stamp set and is heat embossed in Gold on Rich Razzleberry and die cut out with the 7th largest oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits. It is then backed with a Gold Foil 1 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and an Early Espresso Pretty Label Punch. Then some texture with the 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon and the 2nd largest oval Stitched Shape Framelits from the Country Lane DSP.
I like to add a little glamor to my rustic Wood Texture DSP background so I added some Gold Heat Embossed detail from the Better With You stamp set. I love the large scallop border created with the Country Lane DSP from a die included in the Seasonal Layers Framelits.
I hope you liked my project. Please make sure you leave a comment with the hashtag #stampitcontest to win the Notes of Kindness Card Kit, and visit each of the bloggers on this hop!
