Good Morning and welcome to the Team Stamp It Mantown Blog Hop! I’m the first on the tour this time, so at the bottom of this post, just click the “next’ button to follow along to the next blog (or hit previous to go through the hop backwards!)
For the Mantown Theme, I made a Father’s Day pocket card, with the Guy Greetings stamp set.
Pull the ribbon to reveal the inner card.
I watercolored the muscle man with my Aqua Painter on Shimmery White card stock. Shimmery White is my new favorite paper to watercolor on. It’s nice and firm, and will let the water move around without the paper peeling up…. and has a cool shimmer to it.
I colored his skin with Sahara Sand, hair & shoes with Soft Suede. I thought the strong green of Cucumber Crush would be to bright for his pants, so I mixed the Cucumber Crush with Soft Suede in a separate container. After that dried, I added more Soft Suede along the edges of his pants.
To make the pocket, cut a 8 1/2 x 11 in half for a 4 1/4 x 11 piece. Score at 1 1/4 and 5 1/2.
Fold score lines, with the 1 1/4 fold backwards like a z-fold.
Use Fast Fuze to close the card, and hold down the flap once it’s decorated with ribbon. The inner card is 3 3/8 x 5 1/4.
Such a fun card to give you Dad, Father, Husband. Guy Greetings has some great phrases, so you could easily change this to a birthday, thank you or congrats card.
Hope you enjoyed my Masculine Mantown card. Your next stop is Elizabeth Thatcher. Hope you enjoy the Hop!
