My husbands birthday was back in July, he’s a car guy, we have more cars than we have drivers, one being a refurbished ’48 F1 Ford. When I wanted to make him a card for his birthday, the Guy Greetings was the stamp set I grabbed without thinking about it. It has a car in it…..and tools…PERFECT! I watercolored the old car with the new Dapper Denim Ink. I wanted a more interesting background so decided to create my own.
I used some small post-it notes (purple) to hold my card base to my grid paper, and used a larger post-it (orange) that was wider than the card base to use as my guide. I lined it up with the the grid on both side of the card stock and than stamped the greeting “Righty-Tighty, Lefty-Loosey” multiple times. I then moved the orange sticky down one square and repeated the stamping, offsetting the greeting so they didn’t line up exactly under each other.
It didn’t take as long as it looks like it took……but I wouldn’t make more then 2 or 3.
