I’ve been really busy lately working on craft fair, and I wanted to share with you one of the products I’ve been making for the christmas season. Gift Card popularity has grown in the past years, supermarkets and drug stores now have large sections dedicated to selling gift cards for every type of establishment.
Now I personally think the gift of shopping is a wonderful idea. My husband is not on the same page, he thinks they can be a bit impersonal, but does agree that they can be perfect for some situations.
The Holiday Stocking Die from the holiday mini is the perfect size to make a great gift card holder.
Isn’t she cute! I just love how they came out!! And open it up and……
here’s your gift card, with plenty of room to write a little note.
Recipe:
Stamps: Punches Three (retired)
Ink: Ridinghood Red; Lucky Limeade; Early Espresso
Paper: Lucky Limeade; Ridinghood Red; Early Espresso; Letters to Santa DSP
Other: Big Shot; Holiday Stocking Die; Scallop Squares Duo Die; Scallop Square Punch; Snowflake Punch; Word Window Punch; 3/4″ Circle Punch; 3/8″ Quilted Satin Ribbon- Espresso, Basic Rhinestones; dimensionals
These stocking are so fun I’ve made several different styles:
This one just changes up the colors.
This one uses the stamp set Tags til Christmas, the extra-large and Large Tag punches.
So here I added a ‘lollie’ or ‘rosette’ in espresso and the center medallion is from embossing the Brushed Silver paper in the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and punching the center out with the 3/4″ circle punch. I also used the Four the Holiday’s stamp set with Silver Embossing powder, and small snowflakes from Serene Snowflakes.
And again in a different color, did I mention I’m in love with the stocking!!! ….and one more.
And this one uses the Well Worn DSP (never would have thought of that for christmas? But it looks so vintage) River Rock paper, stampsets from Winter post and Christmas Lodge.
What do you think? Come back tomorrow and I’ll show you how I made the card!!
