My Christmas project is a gift bag w/ a tag and a matching card.  I love making tags and gift bags for some reason.  Maybe just because they are something a little different.   I’m loving the Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper and of course, I love Blackberry Bliss. I thought I could make this specialty paper, with the gold foil leaves, and could turn it into a Christmas paper vs a fall paper.

The bag is designed for a wine bottle, tall and thin. The bag is white and I first covered it with a strip of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock. I covered that with a Very Vanilla Cardstock panel embossed with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder.   The length from top to bottom is 12″, so both the Blackberry Bliss & Very Vanilla are made in 2 pieces that are joined under the strip of Designer Series Paper. So that piece is not just pretty, but functional too!!

I used the Tailor Made Tags Dies to cut the Designer Series Paper tag, then hand cut the Blackberry Bliss tag on my own using the die-cut as a guide.  The ornament comes from the Bright Baubles Stamp Set and is embossed in Gold embossing powder from the Metallics Embossing Powders.  I used added some white & black watercolor pencils to the ornament to give it some 3d effect.

The greeting comes from the Snow Wonder Stamp Set and the labels are from Snow Time Dies & Hippo & Friends Dies.

The matching card uses the matching dies from the Bright Baubles bundle, Delicate Baubles Dies.  I wanted it to compliment the bag, not match.

I cut the detailed “joy” ornament out of Gold Foil Sheets, back with Blackberry Bliss Cardstock.

Both the card and bag are finished off with Gold 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon, Gilded Gems, and Gold Simply Elegant Trim.
