What do you do when you have been spending hours of time shoveling, roof raking, and ice damn breaking and need to create a blog post for a blog hop you signed up for?…..CASE (copy and share everything)!
There is no better way to get your creative juices flowing than to get ink on paper, and if you don’t know where to start, find a card you like and try to re-make. Remember to always give credit where credit is due.
I CASE’d this cute card from the Occasions Catalog (pg 18)
I changed it up a bit. I choose to use a different DSP behind the stamped image, different ribbon, and I changed the location of the button.
My favorite element of this card is the background. Ink up a brayer with Daffodil Delight Ink and roll on to the bumpy side of the the spring flowers embossing folder. Carefully close the embossing folder on the Whisper White card stock and run through the Big Shot. The de-bossed sections of the design will be inked. Try it with different folders and different colors A very cool effect!
The flowers are inked in Daffodil Delight and then using a sponge dauber, lightly ink the edges of the flowers with Melon Mambo Ink. Breath on the stamp before applying to the paper to re-activate any ink.
I love the little bit of Tea Lace Dolly along the bottom. I love the bright spring look of this card. Here in New England, we are very far away from spring.
