February Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card
Welcome to the May Paper Pumpkin PPX Crew Monthly Blog Hop. The PPX Crew is a group of demonstrators who have gotten together to give our subscribers and team members exclusive monthly alternative videos each month with ideas from that month’s kit. We have decided to provide everyone with a bit of inspiration via a monthly Blog Hop. We are all using the current month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit and Stampin’ Up! Products. I’m Linda Cullen from Massachusetts, USA and you are visiting my blog Crafty Stampin’. At the bottom of the blog post, you will find a list of all the participating blog hoppers so you can move along from blog to blog and see all the fantastic projects.
My alternative for the May “Celebrating In Color” Kit uses the little pockets that are meant to be added to the card to hold a gift card. I love that each has an ombre effect of each of the In Colors.
I cut each one with the 2nd largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies circles. Because you could see the score line on the circle, I then embossed them with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. I placed them on a diagonal across the card front. I mirrored the pattern of the circles with the In Color gems included with the kit.
I used the “Happy” die cut from the kit and attached it with dimensional and more In Color gems. I finished my card with a greeting from the kit “to have you in my life” stamped in Starry Sky Ink on Basic White then cut out with the largest banner from Stylish Shapes Dies that I cut down to just the greeting.
