I’m so excited to be part of the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop and that they choose me to be the special guest!!! Yippee!!! Everyone in the hop is choosing a card from my blog to CASE – Copy And Selectively Edit. I’m joining in too….cause why NOT!! I choose to CASE the blueberry card I made about a year ago for one of my first Coffee & Crafts show. Click the photo below to see that blog post and Coffee & Crafts show.
I happen to still have the blueberry card so I did a side by side with today’s card.
My inspiration was the card design sketch and the color palette but then I “upped” both of them for this new card. First, the new card is in portrait v. landscape, and to the Night of Navy and Whisper White card I switch my green from Old Olive to Granny Apple Green because I’m in love with this new green!! I added Poppy Parade and Crumb Cake to the mix. This might be a new found favorite color combo!
I started by creating a fun edge along the end/bottom of the card base. The Delicate Lace Edgelits create such a beautiful detail I added a Night of Navy strip on the inside of the card to show off all its detail.
My greeting is made up of several layers. The greeting is from the Treat Time stamp set and is heat embossed in Whisper White Embossing Powder on Night of Navy then cut out with the Darling Label Punch then mounted on a Poppy Parade Stitched Shape Oval Framelit. Those are mounted on a stamped label image from the Floral Frames stamp set in Granny Apple Green and cut out with a matching die from the Foilage Frames Framelits. I then frame it with the same frame die in Poppy Parade – I cut the same size 2 times, cut each in half, one vertical, one horizontal, and attached to the back creating the illusion of a larger die cut. The flowers come from the Floral Frames stamp set too and are stamped in Poppy Parade on Whisper White.
The upper flowers are the same flower stamp, but heat embossed in White Embossing Powder on Poppy Parade to give a different look. All the flowers are finished with a Pearl Basic Jewel.
I really love how this card turned out….even better than the original!! I’m so excited to see what everyone else creates! Thank you so much for checking out my creation for the hop and my blog.

Just gorgeous Linda, love all the layers and thanks for the tip of how to add the illusion of the larger die – I’d forgotten this, and will be doing it for sure.
