Here is an adorable baby shower set I made for my friend Lesley in New York. She was hosting the shower for friend Daphne who was expecting a baby girl. Lesley wanted to have thank you cards, note cards with a box to hold them and favors. I immediately knew I wanted to use the Baby Bundle (W 118525, C -120576) set with all the cute little images, but I wanted to try to make my own version of designer paper to use on all the elements of the set.
I started with watercolor paper (105019), and Jet Black StazOn Ink (101406), and I stamped randomly all over the the page, off the side, upside down. I wanted the images to be very tightly together so when I cut the paper into smaller strips or squares, each piece would have plenty of images. (I was making 40 of each card & note card – so I went to my local art store and purchased large sheets of watercolor paper, but for one or two cards, Stampin’ Up’s watercolor paper is perfect for this technique). I used my Stampin Write markers to color the images.
I also used the jumbo wheel Baby Tee’s (118621) on the watercolor paper on the base of the box. The box was based on a Truvia sugar box.
The note cards were to be used to write notes of inspiration to the mom-to-be, so I wanted to make sure that that there was plenty of room for writing. I stamped the baby carriage from baby bundle in Versamark (102283) on the back. This gives a watermark effect, so if someone need to flip the notecard over to write more on the back, the image wasn’t going to get in the way.
The shower favors were made with the matchbox die. I filled them with 4 Hershey Nuggets that I wrapped in paper from simply scrappin’ love birds (118707) and In-color patterns designer paper stack (117158).
