You Can Create It

I’m so excited to be part of the international “You Can Create It!” group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.  The group was started by German demonstrators Anja Luft and Heike Fallwickl as a challenge to see what different and beautiful projects can be created from the same list of just a few materials.

Every trimester there are 4 monthly envelopes plus an extras envelope.  Each designer will use the monthly envelope, items from the extras envelope, and anything else they wish to add to create projects that we will share on the 2nd of the month.  You can join in by purchasing the quarterly project kit and you can share your creations on my Facebook VIP site, Crafty Stampin’ VIP Stampers, and use the hashtag #ycci. March and Extras envelope contents:

My Creation – Magnolia Mood & Feel Better Soon

For this month’s envelope, I chose to make a masculine & feminine card.

My feminine card features the Magnolia Mood Stamp Set & matching Magnolia Mood Die.  I stamped the gorgeous magnolia stamp multiple times in Pebbled Path Ink on the Pebbled Path Cardstock for a cool-looking background.  I used the handwritten gold foiled Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper at the bottom of my card front with a small sliver of Pecan Pie Cardstock and the gold distressed grid Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper that was left over from my other card.  The main focal point is the die-cut magnolia from Magnolia Mood Dies.  I kept the greeting the same tone-on-tone as the stamped magnolias to not take away from the die-cut Magnolia.  I finished the card with several Cord Rounds.

My masculine card features the Wanted to Say Dies greeting and the grid dies from All That Dies.  It is a much simpler card, but the Wanted To Say Dies is fun with a double set of dies, a background & a detailed die.  I added Foam Adhesive to the back of the Pebbled Path Cardstock to raise it up.  Adding the foam squeezes the die as it goes through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, and pushes the cardstock through the little holes that are in the die to help you remove the paper from the die, adding a dotted effect.
