You Can Create It

I’m so excited to be part of the international “You Can Create It!” group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.  The group was started by German demonstrators Anja Luft and Heike Fallwickl as a challenge to see what different and beautiful projects can be created from the same list of just a few materials.

Every trimester there are 4 monthly envelopes plus an extras envelope.  Each designer will use the monthly envelope, items from the extras envelope, and anything else they wish to add to create projects that we will share on the 2nd of the month.  You can join in by purchasing the quarterly project kit and you can share your creations on my Facebook VIP site, Crafty Stampin’ VIP Stampers, and use the hashtag #ycci. December and extras envelope contents:

My Creation – Marvelous Nature

Happy New Year!!!  For the final envelope in this quarter’s kit, I paired the Tartan Foil Specialty Designer Series Paper with the Marvelous Nature Stamp Set and created a couple of monotone cards.

My first card features the Pebbled Path Foil piece.  I stamped my image in Peppled Path Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock then fussy cut it out.  I layered the stamped image on a piece of Vellum cut out with one of the rectangle dies from the Radianting Stitched Dies. My card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock.  I cut the piece of  Tartan Spec. DSP down to 3-1/4″ by 5-1/2″, attached a small strip of Peppled Path Cardstock along the left edge, and attached to the card base.  I took the piece I cut off and attached it with the opposite side showing to another strip of Pebbled Path Cardstock and attached that across the bottom third of my card base.  I attached my stamped image to the card base with Dimensionals, stamped my greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Pebbled Path Cardstock, and cut out with a banner die from the Stylish Shapes Die.  I finished the card with several 2023/25 In Color Dots.

My second card was created very similar to the first, but this one used the Lost Lagoon Tartan DSP.  I used a little strip of Pretty Peacock Cardstock behind the section across the middle and Pretty Peacock Ink for the greeting.  The gems for this one come from the Tinsel Gems Three Pack.
