You Can Create It

I’m so excited to be part of the international “You Can Create It!” group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.  The group was started by German demonstrators Anja Luft and Heike Fallwickl as a challenge to see what different and beautiful projects can be created from the same list of just a few materials.

Every trimester there are 4 monthly envelopes plus an extra envelope.  Each designer will use the monthly envelope, items from the extras envelope, and anything else they wish to add to create projects that we will share on the 2nd of the month.  You can join in by purchasing the quarterly project kit and you can share your creations on my Facebook VIP site, Crafty Stampin’ VIP Stampers, and use the hashtag #ycci. My Creation – Sweet Blooms

For this month’s envelope, we are playing with the now-retired Serene Love Designer Series Paper.  This paper is a new take, in different colors, on the retired True Love DSP.  I immediately fussy-cut out all the flowers on the floral piece.  I had to paper pierce the large flower & leaves with an extra set of leaves, as the first one had the leaves cut off.

The second sheet is just a great Night of Navy and white pattern that I used as a background. I layered 2 pieces of Basic White Cardstock, then attached the main flower.  The greeting is from a new set coming in the new Annual Catalog, Sweet Blooms Stamp Set, which I stamped in Night of Navy Ink, maintaining the monotone look of the card.  I finished the card with Navy gems from the Regal Foiled Gems (I forgot that there were Iridescent Foil Gems in the envelope, oops)

 

I hope you like my project. The rest of the team’s projects have the same base supplies, and it’s always amazing to see how different each one can be.
