A couple of years ago, I was privileged to by part of a shoebox swap at my up-line, Tami White’s, home where we made this really cute toolbox designed by Lynn Wilcox. I’ve seen it pop up a lot lately on Pinterest. I’ve had it in my craft room since.
One of my Coffee & Crafts ladies, wanted to make this card for her Dad’s birthday. Since the stamp set that we used has been retired, turned to Tool Shed background stamp to take it’s place.
So we stamped Tool Shed in Stazon Jet Black on Whisper White, and then cut out each tool we wanted in our toolboxes. We used Stampin’ Markers to color the pieces of each tool.
If we didn’t want to cut out every detail, like the handle of the oil can, we colored the Whisper White with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker to blend in with the background.
The original card used the woodgrain background, but to update the card I chose to use the Woodgrain Embossing folder. Then used Sponge Daubers and ink to darken the raised bumps.
The Happy Birthday image from the You’re Amazing set is nice and big, and makes a great statement colored with makers. All products used for this cute toolbox card are at the very bottom of this post.
