Happy 2013!! I have an old window that was turned in to a mirror over my kitchen table. I planned to decorate it every month with a different theme when I purchased it 8 or 9 years ago. I only ended up having a few months worth of decorations, and some of the months (October) end up staying displayed for several months.
I decided that this year I’m going to do a better job of decorating it each month, and I was inspired by the My Digital Studio(MDS) download from Dec. 25th “Midnight Cheer” to create a Happy New Year decorations.
First I printed out the frame-able template on Whisper White, and trimmed it to fit a 8 x 10 frame.
Then I added some some decorations to the frame….a rosette and stars to the top…..
…..and a paper bow and stars to the bottom.
Then I added a banner.
I cut chipboard numbers with the Typeset Alphabet Bigz die, colored them with Midnight Muse ink and sponge daubers, then added some dazzeling diamonds.
Then I made some ornaments to decorate my mini tree.
The center image is from the MDS Midnight Cheer (first 2) and Happy Hour(last). I sized them to be punched out with the 2 1/2″ circle punch. I then added some card stock, DSP, glimmer paper, and ribbon.
I created 2 stars from the retired 5-point star die, and added banners made from MDS Midnight Cheer.
I hope you enjoyed my New Years/January decorations.
