Happy Father’s Day!!! I created a card featuring the dad and son from the Beside Me Stamp Set. I stamped the image with Early Espresso Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock. I colored the images with a combo of Watercolor pencils and Stampin’ Blends. The watercolor pencils don’t have a good skin tone so I colored the sink with Blends and the clothing with Watercolor pencils.
My cardstock panel is just under 2-1/4″ wide. This allowed me to put the bottom of the panel into the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch to give the bottom of the panel a banner edge that will match the greeting panel cut with this same punch.
I built the greeting with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. I stamped the outline image from the Heartfelt Hexagon Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake, the greeting from the Legendary Ride Stamp Set in Pecan Pie Ink. I fussy cut the edge of the punch off so I could layer it on a second Heartfelt Hexagon punched shape in Very Vanilla. I then added the “Happy Father’s Day” greeting from the Trusty Tools Stamp Set stamped on Very Vanilla Cardstock in Early Espresso Ink. I fussy cut is close to the stamped words.
I finished the card with some Linen Thread and Textured Dots. The Country Woods Designer Series Paper is featured as a background paper.
