Triple Diamond Floating Card with Darling Dinos
Welcome to the Stamp It Group Valentine’s Day Blog Hop. I’m Linda Cullen from Massachusetts, and you’ve landed at Crafty Stampin’. Grab your coffee, scoot the scraps to the side, and let’s talk about a Valentine that is equal parts cute, clever, and just a little bit extra. In the best way. 😊
Today’s project is a Triple Diamond Floating Card featuring the Darling Dinos. It stands up like a little display piece, folds flat for mailing, and basically shows off like it knows it’s adorable.
At the bottom of this post, you’ll find the full hop list so you can click from blog to blog and soak up all the Valentine inspiration, and be sure to leave a comment on every blog using the hashtag #stampitcontest for a chance to win the Birthday Sparkle Kit!
Dino Valentine’s Day

This fun fold is all about those diamond panels. Each one is like its own little stage, perfect for mixing Designer Series Paper, a focal image, and a sentiment. I used the Made With Love DSP for that sweet heart vibe, then layered in the dinos and bold Valentine greetings.
The big heart on the left panel is the “stop scrolling” moment. I used Foam Adhesive Sheets behind the Real Red “love” die-cut elements so everything pops without looking lumpy or messy. Clean dimension is the goal, always. The ‘love’ comes from the “lovely” die from Sweet Blooms Dies that I cut off the “ly” on the end. The heart is from the Endless Love Dies. I loved my Halloween Dino’s “Roar means Boo in Dinosaur” card, so I recreated a Valentine’s version.

How to make the base for the Triple Diamond Card:
Card Base Cuts
- Card Base: (2) 11″ x 5-1/2″ score at 2-3/4″, 5-1/2″, 8-1/4″
- Diamonds: (3) 3-7/8″ x 3-7/8″
Instructions
- Cut and score both card bases exactly according to the Cut Diagram.
- Create one long “floating” base from two pieces
- Place both card bases next to each other and line them up carefully.
- Fold the cut triangles inward on the two pieces that will meet in the middle, as shown in the 2nd image on your Cut Diagram.
- Apply adhesive where shown on the diagram, then attach the two bases to one of the Diamonds to form one longer card base.
- Fold the outer end triangles and attach the remaining two Diamonds to each end with adhesive
- See the 3rd image on the Cut Diagram for a visual depiction of how all the pieces go together.

I hope this gives you ideas for turning birthday-themed supplies into cards that are ready to toast the new year.
