Would you “Bee Mine”, Valentine? Isn’t this the cutest?? I decided to try to CASE myself and remake a “Bee Mine” card from a few years ago. You can see the card here.
This card all starts with the little bees from the Honeybee Home Stamp Set that I colored with Stampin Blends then die cut them out with the matching Honeybee Blooms Dies.
The center Basic White panel is embossed with the Tasteful Texture 3D Embossing Folder, then die cut with the 2nd largest Stitched Rectangle Dies and the heart from the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder. Behind the heart is a piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock & Vellum Cardstock embossed with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.
I had to hunt through all the catalogs to try to find a “Be Mine” greeting which I found in the Gumball Greetings Stamp Set. I first taped off all of the letters except the ‘E’, inked it with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and stamped it by itself, then inked up the full greeting and stamped it next to the lone ‘E’ to get the ‘BEE”. The small stitched heart that fits around the greeting comes from the Give it a Whirl Dies.
I used the smaller stitched heart from the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder to create this fun little extra element. I like the idea of the heart hanging off the side of the panel, but it got lost if it was all white or the Real Red Designer Series Paper, so I decided to use both.
I made the card a bit more colorful than the original one that I CASED but I love the extra punch.
I hope you liked my project. Please make sure you leave a comment with the hashtag #stampitcontest to win the Lots of Happy Card Kit, and visit each of the bloggers on this hop!
