For my Christmas card, I decided to revisit the “Pop-up” or ” Wiper” card from Halloween.  This time I used the effect to create the Star of Bethlehem.  During a recent Stampin Scoop show, one of our viewers made the suggestion to have the star on the Window Sheet wiper part of the card, and I just had to try it.  I kept this card simpler than the Halloween card.   The base is a piece of Soft Sky cardstock that I first head embossed the stars in Clear before sponging, Pool Party, Island Indigo and Night of Navy on to the sky.

The Stampin Up Bethlehem Edgelits are cut out in Night of Navy and Sahara Sand and bumped up on Dimensionals.  These Edgelits are just beautiful.  The wiper is a small piece of  Window Shett and the star is Gold Foil cut from the star included with the edgelits.  The greeting comes from the matching stamp set Night In Bethlehem.  I masked off the first line from the larger greeting in the set with painters tape and stamped it in Night of Navy along the bottom of the card front.

I added small Rhinestones to each of the of the stars to add some sparkle.  I finished the card with a small touch of Pool Party Solid Bakers Twine.

    Every card I see using the Night in Bethlehem I have to make! This is brilliant! Hope this set is around for a long time for others to purchase. I see it as a Lovely As A Tree set. Just needs to be part of the catalog every year.
