Card:

I decided to make a fun beachy/under the sea card with the new Seaside Notions Stamp Set from the new 2019 – 2020 Annual Catalog.  We have some great colors to represent the ocean, Pretty Peacock, Bermuda Bay, and Coastal Cabana along with Crumb Cake for sand that really gives the ocean feel.

I cut the Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, and the Crumb Cake individually with the largest Stitched Rectangle Die, then cut the Crumb Cake with the long curved die from the In The Woods Die to mimic the bottom of the ocean.

To create the “Waves”, I used the ribbon die from the Arts & Crafts Die and used the bottom of the die to create the wave on the Coastal Cabana panel (see below.)

I then layered and attached them together with Snail Adhesive.  They were then mounted on the Pretty Peacock panel to make it “POP” from the Crumb Cake base.

I stamped all the images on Vellum with Versamark, heated them with White Embossing Powder, then fussy cut them out with Paper Snips.  I like the transparent look of all the underwater shells and seahorse for this card.  The greeting comes from the Waterfront stamp set and it is also heat embossed on Vellum then cut out with an oval Stitched Shape Die.  I oriented it so it acts like a banner.  All the Vellum elements, except the conch shell,  are attached with Multipurpose Liquid Glue spread evenly across the back at attached directly to the card base so the card base color shows through.  The conch shell has a Crumb Cake cardstock backing so I could attach it with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

The seaweed is from the Smooth Sailing Dies and are cut out from Granny Apple Green and Rich Razzleberry.  I cut one color each for both of them and then fussy cut the Rich Razzleberry seaweed and used Multipurpose Liquid Glue and attached the Rich Razzleberry over the Granny Apple Green.

I finished the card off with several Pearl Basic Jewels.

    Gorgeous card. I recognize you from years ago when you worked at the gas company in Lincoln, NE. I was a demonstrator for a number of years in the late 1990’s and 2000’s, then re-joined as a hobby demo about a year and a half ago. Still love it, and am really enjoying the videos you do with Tami!
