Stamp It Group 2019 Father’s Day Blog Hop – A Good Man

Welcome to Stamp It Group Mother’s Day Theme Blog Hop.  We are all using current Stampin’ Up! Products. Card:

I used the new A Good Man stamp set from the upcoming 2019 – 2020 Annual Catalog as my main image.  This is a great stamp set for masculine cards.  I wanted the card to be bright and cheery so I used the retiring Brights 6×6 Designer Series Paper and choose Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, and Poppy Parade as my colors.

I colored the images with Stampin’ Blends, Granny Apple Green, Night of Navy and Poppy Parade.

For the greeting, I decided to just use the word “Dad” and stamp it with the Lined Alphabet stamp set.  After I stamped the letters in Night of Navy Ink, directly on the Whisper White cardstock, I decided to take it up a notch and stamp them directly on the Brights 6×6 DSP and then cut them out with the matching Layering Alphabet Edgelits.  I had to use Paper Snips to finish the cuts. I then attached them to the Whisper White cardstock over the originally stamped letters, I think it really adds a POP.

For a finishing touch, I added a small strip of Daffodil Delight cardstock punched with the Decorative Ribbon Punch under the colored image.
