Stamp It Group 2018 Father’s Day Blog Hop

For my Father’s Day project I decided to revisit the sampler page like I created for the Spring Blog Hop back in February.   I thought it was so much fun creating various images centered around a theme that I would make a masculine themed one.  The Spring Sampler was mostly die cut images, but for my Father’s Day Sampler I chose to use stamped images.  Each image is stamped on Crumb Cake in Early Espresso Ink, and again on Very Vanilla.  I then fussy cut one of the Very Vanilla image and placed it over the matching image on the crumb cake with Mini Dimensionals.  Don’t you just love the look it gives?

I started with cutting out “DAD” with my Large Letters Framelits Dies.  Each letter is built up with 6 pieces Thick Very Vanilla and one Early Espresso cardstock all glued together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  This gives them a great depth on the sampler.

The background image is used is end grain wood image from the Wood Texture DSP .  I wanted to keep a neutral color palette with browns and tans, but I also added our new Merry Merlot – which is in our Neutrals color family – as the mat for all the images.  I think it gives it a great look.

The images I choose are similar in style and might represent the interest of a “Dad”.  My first comes from the Tuscan Vineyards stamp set to represent the love of wine.

Man’s best friend and a tractor!  That’s masculine!  The great image comes from the Heartland stamps set.  I just love this image and how the dog and tractor look bumped up on the Very Vanilla cardstock.

This awesome barn also comes from the Heartland stamp set.

What dad wouldn’t love to take a motorcycle out for a spin!!  The bike comes from the One Wild Ride stamp set.
