Card
What do you think of my card? I CASED a card I had seen on Pinterest that stuck with me, but I can’t find it now to give credit. I wasn’t a Stampin’ Up card, but from another manufacturer. I loved it and thought “I can do something like that with my Stampin’ Up! products”.
My card features the Stampin’ Up! Bloomin’ Hearts Thinlit cut from Gold Foil Sheets. I added a Vellum Card Stock heart die cut from the Sweet and Sassy Framelits, behind the Bloomin’ Heart to help it stand out from the background.
The background is one of the lacy stamps from the Sale-a-Bration stamp set Delicate Details. I attached the photopolymer stamp on the stampin’ block in a curve to look like it’s hanging from something. I die cut ‘love’ comes from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits. I cut two, one in Gold Foil and one in Real Red, and attached them together slightly offset.
The red panel on the card base is from the Sending Love DSP stack. I had originally planned to have the top panel of Whisper White be the same height as the card base, 5 1/2″, but I made a mistake on my first gold embossing so I grabbed another sheet, cut it down to 3 1/2″ wide, and embossed, which came out great, only to realize the panel was 5 1/4″ high. Happy boo-boo cause I think it looks great! The Real Red Enameled Shapes finish off the card.
This has been one of those card that I keep tweaking. An hour before this blog hop went live I ripped part of it apart and made a last minute change. Sometime cards come together super easy, others do not. To the left is how it look before the last minute edits. I felt the Basic Gray panel was too dominate. I looks softer with Vellum Card Stock.
I hope you enjoyed your stop at Crafty Stampin’ on the Valentines Day Blog Hop. Remember to leave a comment on my blog and visit each of the blog hoppers.
Thanks and Happy Stampin’
Linda

Great card! I’m like you, I like the vellum better also. Even with one little mistake, you were able to go with it and enhance the beauty
of the card. I wish I could think like that. I would have grabbed another sheet & went with original plan.
