Card:
Sometimes it’s just fun to do something non-traditional. I’ve been playing with the Stampin Up Bike Ride stamp set lately and thought it might be fun to use it to make a Christmas themed card.
So how do you make a bicycle Christmasy? I started by choosing the large diagonal stripe pattern from the Be Merry DSP and the Old Olive 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon. Now I had my Christmas color palette, which I used to color the bike. I then added traditional Christmas images of presents and wreath from the At Home with You stamp set. The Softly Falling embossing folder gives the impression of snow and I finished it off with a little sparkle by adding Silver Glimmer Paper to the bikes tassels and to highlight the greeting from Holly Berry Happiness stamp set that implies distance and travel.
This would make a super birthday card by adding a birthday greeting from Birthday Delivery stamp set on the inside for someone you might know with a birthday right around Christmas……like your favorite Stampin’ Up Demonstrator (wink)! Having my birthday day 4 days before Christmas, this would be a card I would love to receive!
