September Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card
Welcome to PPX Crew Monthly Blog Hop. The PPX Crew is a group of demonstrators who have gotten together to give our subscribers and team members exclusive monthly alternative videos each month with ideas from that month’s kit. We have decided to provide everyone with a bit of inspiration via a monthly Blog Hop. We are all using the current month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit and Stampin’ Up! Products. I’m Linda Cullen from Massachusetts, USA and you are visiting my blog Crafty Stampin’. At the bottom of the blog post, you will find a list of all the participating blog hoppers so you can move along from blog to blog and see all the fantastic projects.
What if you loved the patterns on the little boxes from the September Paper Pumpkin Kit, but didn’t want to make boxes???? I used the boxes and punched out as many Tailored Tags Punch pieces as I could. I attached them all to a piece of Early Espresso Card Stock so the pattern would stand out. The punched-out pieces had various score lines from the boxes, but I ran the new panel through the Stampin’ Cut & Embossing Machine (“Big Boss”) with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. The scorelines disappeared!!!
I decided to use the Sweets & Treats Stamp Set for my focal point. I stamped the cupcake on one of the other Soft Succulent box patterns that I then fussy cut out. I used a bit of Light Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blend along one side to add some shadow. I then stamped several cupcakes on Basic White Cardstock and colored them with Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend with both Light & Dark. I assembled them on the dome cover for the sweet treats. The dome in this set matches the Cloche Dies set. I stamped the dome outline in Smokey Slate Ink and I stamped the stand in Early Espresso Ink and then colored the stand with Light & Dark Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends.
I finished the card with a piece of Vellum Cardstock cut with the 3rd largest Rectangle Stitched Die and the greeting from this month’s Paper Pumpkin stamped in Early Espresso Ink on Basic White Cardstock and cut out with the circle die from the Tasteful Labels Die.
I hope you liked my project. Be sure to follow along to all the other PPX Blog Hoppers. Leave a comment and let me know what you think!

This is such a cute alternative project and so different, Linda. I like how you created the background using punched out pieces. The cupcakes are super cute!
