Last A Lifetime Slimline Card

For this blog hop, I wanted to do something different and I felt that there might be many hoppers using Butterflies, so I went looking for spring things in the Annual Catalog. Can you believe we are getting close to the end of the 2020 – 2021 Annual Catalog? 😳. This year has stood still and flown by at the same time, but I am ready for spring, and spring flowers!!!!
I started with choosing to make a slimline card. This one is a bit bigger than the ones I’ve made in the past. It’s (9 1/4″ x 4″) and will fit in a standard #10 business envelope (9 1/2″ x 4 1/8″). I wanted the card to be mostly white, but I like natural elements with white, so I have the entire Thick Basic White Cardstock card base covered with a photorealistic wood grain image from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.
The center is a Basic White Cardstock panel embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. The Basic White panel is longer than the embossing folder, but I carefully ran it through the Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine (Big Boss) twice, once on each end making sure not to emboss over the previous portion. This works well with this particular embossing folder. I then matted the embossed Basic White panel with Misty Moonlight Cardstock panel.
The flowers are fussy cut from the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper. Their bright color is what I’m expecting in my garden soon🤞. My greeting comes from the Last a Lifetime Stamp Set stamped in Misty Moonlight Ink and cut out with the large label from the Tasteful Labels Dies. I added a “leaf” in Sahara Sand Foil from the Love You Always Foil Sheets cut with a die in the Birds & More Dies. The card needed something that spread out to the left from my greeting. I added several Square Vellum Doilies around the card, one is behind the greeting, but I cut off the “bottom” so you only see it peeking out from the top & sides. Then I attached just a small bit along the bottom of the main panel.
I finished the card with multiple clear epoxies from the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets. These are so fun and add a water droplet look. In the center photo, you can see the reflection of my window in the bottom right droplet.
Well, here’s hoping spring arrives soon!
I hope you liked my projects. Please make sure you leave a comment with the hashtag #stampitcontest to win the You’re Amazing Kit, and visit each of the bloggers on this hop!
