So, I might have migrated a bit from the ‘Spring’ theme 😜. I started with a google search for Spring Color Palette. This is what I got:
I looked more ‘summery’ to me, but I like the colors and thought they would translate to Stampin’ Up! colors: Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Blushing Bride, Pool Party & Bermuda Bay. When I put it together I wasn’t as thrilled with the pinks, so I switched to Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Pool Party, and Bermuda Bay.
I decided to make a color-blocking slim-line card (8 1/2″ x 7″ folded to 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″) with a Thick Whisper White card base. Each color is 1 11/16th tall so they each fit on the 8 /12″ tall card. I attached each color to the card base and then attached the remaining Thick Whisper White panel cut down to 2 3/4″ x 7 3/4″ and attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I haven’t had a chance to play with the fun shapes in the Beautiful Shapes Dies so I thought it would be fun to use the same colors from the color family Designer Series Papers 6″ x 6″ paper packs in different size hexagons. The hexagons were attached in the opposite direction as the background colors with more dimensionals.
Now we need a bold greeting and the words from Here For You Dies fit the bill! I attached a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet to the back of a Basic Black Cardstock panel then die cut out the greeting. The greeting was then attached to a Vellum Cardstock circle created with the largest circle die from the Layering Circles Dies. The circle is attached with tiny pieces of dimensional that I cut into small strips to attach behind the letters so that they will not be seen and the circle is bumped up from the hexagons.
I finished the card with several Matte Black Dots.
I hope you liked my project. Please make sure you leave a comment with the hashtag #stampitcontest to win the Looking Up Card Kit, and visit each of the bloggers on this hop!
