Christmas Peek-a-boo

I LOVE the new Holiday Catalog.  I want every single stamp set and accessory in it.  How about you?  Do you have a favorite?  Mine changes, but right now it’s the Ornament Keepsake stamp set and matching framlits.  Stampin’ Up! is now offering Bundles, you can purchase the stampset and the coordinating framelits at a 15 % savings…..yeah!!

This was one of the cards we made at Stamp Club/Class.  We meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month and make three cards. The ladies voted this their favorite of the night!!  Before you place this card in the envelop, twist the ornament several times, so when the recipient opens the card, the ornament will spin around!!

The ‘peek-a-boo’ window is made with the apothecary accent framelits. The trick with this card is to attach your top sheet of card stock to your card base with a very small amount of snail, place your framelit,  hold it in place with a post-it note, run it though the Big Shot cutting both pieces of paper.  Then separate the pieces, create the remainder of your card as normal.  When you go to do the final assembly of your ‘peek-a-boo’ holes will line up perfectly!

The ornament is from the new Ornament Keeper stamp set, and cut out with the Holiday Ornaments framelits.  You’ll need 2 ornaments, place sticky strip along the back of both and use bakers twine in between. Attach the bakers twine to the top and bottom of the ‘peek-a-boo’ window with sticky strip.
