November 2022 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives
Welcome to the A Paper Pumpkin Thing “APPT” Monthly Blog Hop! The PPX Crew has joined up with some additional Stampin’ Up! demonstrators to give you even more amazing alternatives with the Paper Pumpkin Kits. We blog hop on the first Friday of the month with alternate projects from the prior month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit. We are all using the current month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit and Stampin’ Up! Products. I’m Linda Cullen from Massachusetts and you are visiting my blog Crafty Stampin’. At the bottom of the blog post, you will find a list of all the participating blog hoppers so you can move along from blog to blog and see all the fantastic projects.
From Santa Christmas Gift Card Holder Card
Every kit has one item that I just love and this kit is no exception. This LARGE “Express Delivery” stamp is just fabulous. I used it on a card front to create a gift card holder card. Isn’t it cute!! I used the Dots & Spots Die on my Crumb Cake Cardstock background panel, which I backed up with a Basic Black Cardstock panel to make the effect of the die more dramatic. My leaves come from the Holly Berry Dies in both Evening Evergreen Cardstock and Shaded Spruce Cardstock that have matching ink added to the edges with a Blending Brush.
To create the look of the multi-colored stamp, I stamped it 4 times, once in Cherry Cobbler Ink, once in Early Espresso Ink, and twice in Shaded Spruce Ink. I die cut the Cherry Cobbler image with the second largest circle die in the Stylish Shapes Dies. I fussy cut the remaining three images. The two Shaded Spruce images were cut just around the edge of the green lines, and the Reindeer was fully cut out from the Early Espresso image. I attached one of the Shaded Spruce circles to the Cherry Cobbler circles with SEAL Adhesive. Then attached the Early Espresso Reindeer to the second Shaded Spruce circle with SEAL. Then finally attached the two together with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I finished the front of the card with a Crumb Cake Cardstock banner stamped with the “From: Santa,” also from this month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The banner notch is punched with the Banners Pick a Punch. A bow with the Black & White 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon is the final touch.
On the inside of the card, I added a pocket with an Evening Evergreen plaid piece from the 2021-2023 In color 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper.
From Santa Pillowbox Gift Box
To go with my gift card holder I created this adorable pillow box to match. Can it be any cuter??? This box could hold some candy, a pair of earrings, or some lip balm. I cut the pillow box from the Pretty Pillowbox Dies in Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and tied it closed with a piece of Black & White 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon.
The tag is cut from a label die included in the Pretty Pillowbox Dies. I cut it out in Crumb Cake Cardstock and stamped the greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I felt it was still needed something, so I stamped the “Ho Ho Ho” stamped multiple times over the greeting in Crumb Cake Ink, stamped off one time. I finished it off with an Evening Evergreen die-cut leaf from Holly Berry Dies.
I just love how these projects turned out.
I hope you liked my project. Be sure to follow along with all the other Blog Hoppers. Leave a comment and let me know what you think!
