Welcome to the A Paper Pumpkin Thing “APPT” Monthly Blog Hop! The PPX Crew has joined up with some additional Stampin’ Up! demonstrators to give you even more amazing alternatives with the Paper Pumpkin Kits. We blog alternate projects from the prior month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit using the only items from the Paper Pumpkin Kit and Stampin’ Up! Products. I’m Linda Cullen from Massachusetts and you are visiting my blog Crafty Stampin’. Card & Gift Card Holder

Welcome to the APPT blog hop!! We are all working with the amazing January 2025 Paper Pumpkin. I created an alternative greeting card and a Gift Bag holder.

Greeting Card

My project for APPT is a slim-line card and gift bag. A slim-line card is 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ and will fit in a standard business envelope. I used the red-striped card base from the kit for both as the base layer.

For the slim line card, the Real Red Cardstock card base is cut at 8 1/4″ x 3 1/4″, so you will have the score line visible. I used the bone folder and burnished the line from the inside of the card to reduce its visibility. You could emboss the panel with a dense patterned embossing folder to hide it if you wish but I don’t think it’s an issue. The greeting “Love” is from the kit, stamped in Real Red Ink on a portion of a kit-included tag.

I used several included Champagne Foil Hearts from the kit across the front bumped up on Dimensionals. Inside the hearts of the large die heart, I added the heart-shaped gems.

I used a few more included stamps for the inside panel.

Gift Bag

I also decorated one of the larger Gift Bag Combo Pack. These are from an early Online Exclusive release. I kept it similar to one of the kit card designs. I used an old hole punch to punch the top of the bag so I could add a tie with the Real Red Twine from the kit.
