December 2023 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives
Welcome to the A Paper Pumpkin Thing “APPT” Monthly Blog Hop! The PPX Crew has joined up with some additional Stampin’ Up! demonstrators to give you even more amazing alternatives with the Paper Pumpkin Kits. We blog hop on the first Friday of the month with alternate projects from the prior month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit. We are all using the current month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit and Stampin’ Up! Products. I’m Linda Cullen from Massachusetts and you are visiting my blog Crafty Stampin’. Card
“Don’t judge a kit by its preview!” I didn’t think I was going to like this kit. The preview didn’t speak to me. But the more I play with it, the more in love I have become. For today’s project, I wanted to feature the card base with flowers and sky, and luckily the card base is printed on the front and back, so I turned it into a slimline card. I cut Thick Basic White Cardstock to 8 1/2 x 7 and scored at 3 1/3. I cut the bottom of the card base down to fit over the entire card front. I then added a Vellum Cardstock layer.
I used the circle die-cut and stamp set included in the kit and stamped my greeting in Peppeled Path Ink. I then added several of the dandelion die-cuts from the kit on the card front.
I finished the card with several of the included Balmy Blue Faceted Gems. These are so pretty, I wish I could purchase more.
