You Can Create It

I’m so excited to be part of the international “You Can Create It!” group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.  The group was started by German demonstrators Anja Luft and Heike Fallwickl as a challenge to see what different and beautiful projects can be created from the same list of just a few materials.

Every trimester there are 4 monthly envelopes plus an extras envelope.  Each designer will use the monthly envelope, items from the extras envelope, and anything else they wish to add to create projects that we will share on the 2nd of the month.  You can join in by purchasing the quarterly project kit and you can share your creations on my Facebook VIP site, Crafty Stampin’ VIP Stampers, and use the hashtag #ycci. My Creation –

I decided to make two cards, each featuring a different piece of the Designer Series Paper in the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper pack in a similar card sketch.  Both cards have their greetings from the Phrases for All Stamp Set on the largest die from the Nested Dies and the large single flower die from the Cheerful Daisies Dies.

My first card is a landscape.  I  stamped the greeting in Pebble Path Ink on Pebble Path cardstock.  I applied Daffodil Delight Ink to the center of the die-cut daisies with the Small Blending Brushes.  I added a small strip of Pebble Path Cardstock along the edge of the Designer Series Paper to give it a finished look.  I tied the Pebble Path Jute in a bow and attached it to the back of the greeting panel.

My second card is the same general sketch but in portrait orientation.  I used Pebble Path Ink for the greeting but on Moody Mauve cardstock.  I colored the center of the daisies with the small blending brush with Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve Inks.  I attached my jute a bit differently by punching a ribbon hole on each side with the Very Best Trio Punch and wrapping it around before tying the bow.  I cut my Designer Series Paper to 5 1/2″ x 3 1/4″, I used a 1/2″ of the same piece, but the reverse side (Wild Wheat) for my accent along the side.
