You Can Create It – July Challenge | Featuring the Everyday You & Me Stamp Set

I’m so excited to share my project for this month’s “You Can Create It” (YCCI) international design challenge! This global Stampin’ Up!® collaboration was founded by talented German demonstrators Anja Luft and Heike Fallwickl, and it invites crafters around the world to explore their creativity using a limited set of materials.

✂️ What is “You Can Create It”?

Each quarter, participants receive a kit that includes four monthly envelopes and one bonus “extras” envelope. Every month, our team of demonstrators creates a project using only the contents of that month’s envelope, plus items from the extras pack and anything else we feel inspired to add. Then, on the 2nd of each month, we all share our creations to inspire YOU to get creative too!

📨 July Envelope Contents + Extras Pack

Here’s what we had to work with for July’s challenge:

 

💌 My Project: Tri-Fold Card with Everyday You & Me Stamp Set

For this month’s challenge, I created a simple and elegant tri-fold card featuring the Kintsugi Inspirations Designer Series Paper and the Everyday You & Me Stamp Set.

Here’s the basic structure of the card:

• Card Base: Misty Moonlight Cardstock cut to 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 1-1/2” and 5-3/4”

• I used the two panels of DSP on the front flaps and added a Gold Foil strip behind the top panel for a little shimmer and contrast.

• The sentiment is heat-embossed in gold using Versamark Ink and WOW! Gold Embossing Powder.

• I used the largest and third-largest Nested Essentials Dies for the sentiment layers. The back layer is dry embossed with the Damask Designs 3D Embossing Folder for added texture and dimension.

This layout lets the stunning DSP shine while keeping the design crisp and classy.

🎨 Why I Love This Challenge

One of my favorite things about the “You Can Create It” challenge is seeing how differently each designer interprets the same materials. We all start with the same pieces, but the variety of styles, layouts, and techniques is incredible.
