Stamp It Group Thanksgiving Blog Hop

I used the Stampin Up Count My Blessings stamp set for my Thanksgiving card.  I love the images in this set!  I stamped the oak leaf and acorn image multiple times in Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla cardstock for the background.  I covered that with Vellum to take away a bit of its intensity.

I then stamped the same image in Rich Razzleberry ink on Rich Razzleberry cardstock.  I made sure this ink was VERY dry by hitting it with my heat gun.  I then gave it a good coverage with the Stampin’ Buddy before stamping the greeting with Versamark and covering with Gold Embossing Powder.  If I didn’t make sure the Rich Razzleberry ink was dry the Gold Embossing Powder would stick to that ink too.

I then cut out several images from the Patterned Punkins Thinlits Dies in Gold Foil, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry and Old Olive cardstock and attached them behind the greeting.

I added a bit of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon and 3/8″ Crushed Curry Stitched Satin Ribbon to ground the greeting.  To finish off the card I had to add a bit of bling, my favorite Gold Faceted Gems.

    Interesting concept to partially cover stamping with plain vellum to soften the effect. I probably would have just used a lighter ink and lost the dimensional look.
