Spring Fling Blog Hop, Love and Hugs With Flower Fair
Hello, friend, and welcome to the Spring Fling Blog Hop. If you are arriving from another stop on the hop, I am so glad you are here. If you are popping in for the first time, pull up a chair, grab your coffee, and pretend you cannot hear the laundry calling your name. 😄
This month, I leaned all the way into soft spring prettiness with a floral focal panel, a fun angled paper layer, and a sweet greeting that feels like a warm hug in card form.
At the bottom of this post, you’ll find the full hop list so you can click from blog to blog and soak up all the Valentine inspiration, and be sure to leave a comment on every blog using the hashtag #stampitcontest for a chance to win the Pop Up Pals Kit!
Flower Fair Spring Fling Card

For this card, I used the Flower Fair Stamp Set, and yes, it is new. It will be available in the March 2026 Online Exclusives release, so consider this your friendly little heads up. 😉
The flowers are colored with Stampin’ Blends, then I added extra depth and texture with watercolor pencils. No water involved, I used the pencils dry to keep the look soft and detailed without turning anything muddy. If you have ever over-blended a petal into oblivion, you know why this matters.
Design Details: The Little Things That Make It Work
Here is what I used and how it came together.
-
The angled layer
I cut the Mixed Up Patterns Designer Series Paper on an angle to add instant movement. Angles do all the work for you; they make a simple layout look intentional and modern. -
A bit of shimmer at the top
Right above the Designer Series Paper, I added a strip of Bubble Bath Pastel Shimmer Paper. It is subtle, but it catches the light and gives the card that “finished” look without screaming for attention. -
The greeting and circle
For the greeting, I used the 3rd largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. The sentiment is from the Greenery Land Stamp Set, stamped in Basic Gray Ink. Basic Gray is my go-to for soft cards because black can feel a bit harsh on pale pinks.

Then, for a little extra magic, I stamped the flower from the Flower Fair Stamp Set in Bubble Bath ink right over the greeting. It adds interest, ties the whole card together, and makes that circle feel like part of the design instead of an afterthought.
-
Ribbon finish
To wrap it up, I used Bubble Bath Faux Linen Ribbon and tied a bow. Faux linen ribbon is basically cheating; it looks fancy even when your bow is slightly rebellious.
Quick Tips: If You Want To Recreate This
If you try this layout, here are two small tweaks that make a big difference.
Keep your angled cut fairly shallow; if it’s too steep, it can feel like the paper is sliding off the card.
When you add dry watercolor pencil shading over blends, use a light hand and build slowly. You can always add more, but removing pencil is about as fun as un-sticking dimensionals from your elbow.

Keep Hopping ⭐️
Thanks for stopping by my Spring Fling project. Next up on the hop is the next blog in the lineup, and you are going to love the spring inspiration ahead. Have fun hopping, and if this card made you smile, it officially did its job. 😊 Include the hashtag #stampitcontest in your comment on each blog for your chance to win the Pop Up Pals Kit.
