Cake Day New Year’s 🌟 | Team Stamp It New Year’s Blog Hop
Welcome to the Team Stamp It New Year’s Blog Hop. I am so glad you are here. Top off your coffee, clear a little space on the craft table, and let us talk about ringing in 2026 with a bold, sparkly card that looks like a party in an envelope.
This time, I pulled out the Cake Day Bundle, Alphabet A La Mode Dies, and Party Banners Dies to create a New Year’s card that feels festive without using a single “official” New Year product. The black, vanilla, and gold color combo keeps it classy, while the sparkle says, yes, I will take another glass of bubbly, thank you.

I wanted the background to feel like party streamers, so I built my own striped panel. I cut quarter-inch strips of Basic Black Cardstock and Gold Foil, plus three-eighths-inch strips of Very Vanilla Cardstock. I glued the strips on an angle across a spare Basic Black panel. Do not trim as you go. Keep the strips long, then trim all the edges at once for a crisp finish. Adhere this panel to a Very Vanilla card base.

For the focal layer, I cut a Basic Black Cardstock banner with one of the Party Banners Dies. I die cut the numbers 2 and 6 from the Alphabet A La Mode Dies, then backed the cutouts with Gold Foil so the numbers glow from behind. Very New Year countdown vibes.
The little starburst accents come from the Cake Day Dies, cut from Gold Foil. I attached them with tiny pieces of Mini Dimensionals that I snipped down, so they pop up without showing any foam. The greeting is from the Cake Day Stamp Set, stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock, then die-cut with a banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

I hope this gives you ideas for turning birthday-themed supplies into cards that are ready to toast the new year.

I love how you combined the Cake Day Bundle with the Alphabet A La Mode Dies to make such a bold, personalized card! The festive vibe is perfect for ringing in the new year, and it’s refreshing to see a New Year’s card without the usual motifs.
