Celebrate a Wonderful New Year!

For my New Years card, I wanted to attempt a champagne bottle popping.  I used the new Bottles & Bubbles Framelits from the Stampin Up Occasions catalog.  I had to manipulate it a bit to try to make it look a bit longer.  My favorite part is the popping champagne.  I used a die from the Swirly Snowflakes in Silver Glimmer Paper and cut it 3 times, once backward to represent the champagne.

I created the background with the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper and Basic Black Archival Reinker like I did on this winter scene card.  I then had a dilemma of how to make sure I showed off the Year of Cheer paper and the swirly champagne without one drowning out the other……and the answer is Vellum Cardstock!

The ’18’ is from the Large Numbers Framelits and the little apostrophe is from the Large Letters Framelits.  I didn’t have enough room for the full 2018, so I though the ’18 did the trick.

The greeting ” Celebrate a wonderful year” comes from the Labels to Love stamp set that is not retiring!!!  Yeah!
