October Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card

Welcome to PPX Crew Monthly Blog Hop.  The PPX Crew is a group of demonstrators who have gotten together to give our subscribers and team members exclusive monthly alternative videos each month with ideas from that month’s kit.  We have decided to provide everyone with a bit of inspiration via a monthly Blog Hop.  We are all using the current month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit and Stampin’ Up! Products. I’m Linda Cullen from Massachusetts, USA and you are visiting my blog Crafty Stampin’. At the bottom of the blog post, you will find a list of all the participating blog hoppers so you can move along from blog to blog and see all the fantastic projects.

My October PPX Paper Pumpkin Kit alternative card is very simple.  I love the Shaded Spruce buffalo check panel and the silver foil trees found on the envelope so I decided to feature those two elements.  I used a piece of Basic Black card base cut 11″ x 4 1/4″, and attached the buffalo check panel with Stampin’ SEAL to the front.

It trimmed the envelope to have just the silver foil trees.  I cut a small piece of Real Red cardstock only 3 inches wide and used it as backing for the tree panel.  I love the little pop of color that it provides.

I stamped one of the greetings from the kit in  Real Red Ink on a scrap piece of Basic White.  I trimmed it down to just the size of the greeting and finished one end with the Banner Pick a Punch then attached it with Dimensionals.

I used the red twine, included in the kit, and tied it around the tree panel with a bow, then attached the tree panel to the card base with Dimensionals.

I finished the card off with 3 gems from the kit.
