OnStage Recap – Stampin’ Up! Annual Convention
Stampin’ Up! host a yearly convention in November where demonstrators get together to celebrate each other accomplishments, learn about new upcoming products, and of course STAMP!!! Two years ago we were in Orlando, FL. Here’s how the convention hall looked:
And this year, due to COVID, here is how it looked. Me, myself & I in front of my computer.
It was actually a lot more fun than I would have expected. I used my iPad to chat with my team during the entire 3 days and it was as close as we could get to all sitting together like 2 years ago. And even better, we have access to all the presentations and classes for 2 1/2 more months! I got to sit back, enjoy, and just take it all in without needing to get every bit of detail down in my notes.
The event kicked off with a performance by Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo!!! This 80’s kid was singing along to every song! She looked and sounded just AMAZING.
Recognitions
I was honored to be recognized for my 10 year anniversary, $100k in career sales, and prior-year Sales, Team Building, and Leadership (team member advancements).
My OnStage Presentation
The biggest moment for me actually started 2 months ago when I received a call from Stampin’ Up! corporate. They asked if I would design some projects from an upcoming product suite in the new January – June Mini Catalog and present it during OnStage. The catch was that they needed to record my presentation in 2-3 weeks!😳 I couldn’t tell anyone and it was a complete surprise until Sat when my name showed up on the day’s agenda.
I was given 17 minutes and the largest suite in the new catalog and a list of “features & benefits” for those products that I needed to explain. I was concerned I was going to come off sounding like a lunatic at how fast I needed to talk to get all the information out 😜 and not trip over my own tongue.
The weather here in New England cooperated and I was able to invite a few Team Members who live locally to view Saturdays sessions outside in our new backyard sitting area. A week ago we had 6 inches of snow with 20 degree overnight temps.
No OnStage event is complete without a ‘swag bag’. We received this cute box (that the post office mangled 😠) with a fun bag, a new stamp set, notebooks, trading pins. As a leader, I was also fortunate to receive a CenterStage box with a pair of Paper Snips and a unique scissor charm.
Hopefully, next November will be in Philidelphia, PA celebrating in person, but we will just have to see how this next year plays out. I do know that if Stampin’ Up! has to have a second OnStage at Home, it too will be awesome!
