New 2018 Core Colors
Let me introduce to you the new core colors added to the Stampin Up color line this year!!
This is the second of a 3 part blog series on all the new colors enter the Stampin Up family this year.
- Part 1 is here.
- Part 3, returing colors will be posted on April 27th.
Get a Color Coach with suggestions for color combinations using all the 2018 Stampin’ Up! colors on my Downloads & Resources page under “2018 Color Revamp”.
Let’s look at each one and compare them with current and retired colors.
Highland Heather
I think purple has been the most requested color as of late. Highland Heather is a great light purple and will work great with the new Gorgeous Grape. I’m sure purple fanatics will be pleased with these additions to the lineup.
Gorgeous Grape
Gorgeous Grape seems to be a true purple to me that should make all the purple lovers happy.
Merry Merlot
Merry Merlot is a new addition to the Neutrals Collection. It’s a bit darker than Cherry Cobbler, more like a burgundy, or maroon.
Mango Melody
Mango is the perfect name for this new core color. It’s bright with a bit of red in it. It will be great in a fall color palette.
Petal Pink
Petal Pink add a soft flesh tone to the color lineup with more yellow than Powder Pink or Pink Pirouette.
Shaded Spruce
Shaded Spruce great dark green that has more blue to it than other Stampin Up greens. It’s slightly darker than the new Call Me Clover In Color.
Granny Apple Green
My only sad moment due to the color revamp happening this year, means that Lemon Lime Twist will definitely be leaving after 2019. I’m hoping that Granny Apple Green will earn a place in my heart. I feel my dislike for Yellow Greens changing with all of these fun new colors.
Soft Sea Form
Soft Sea Foam is the lights of all the Stampin Up Colors. It will make a great neutral baby color.
Gray Granite
Granite Gray is a mid-tone gray between Basic Gray and Smoky Slate.
Balmy Blue
Balmy Blue will be the perfect Baby Blue.
On Friday I run down the same comparison on all the returning colors to the Stampin Up line up.
Linda, this is an awesome comparison! It’s so helpful to see what the new colors are! Thank you so much for putting them together!
Hi Linda, Do you have the download for the marker insert with all the curren colors? If so can you tell me how to get it. I always have a hard time getting to your downloads and resources page. Can never remember what it is under and I can never find a search for your page. Thanks, Doreen
I don’t. If you purchase the new color assortment markers it will come with a marker cover for the case. After the new catalog goes live, Stampin Up might provide a digital one that I will share.
My Downloads & Resources is under the “Specials” menu.
