Heal Your Heart Butterfly

Card

For the love of butterflies.  We, unfortunately, need to have a sympathy card on hand or be able to whip one up quickly.  Here I used some of my favorite Sale-a-Bration products to create what I hope will be a beautiful and comforting card during a difficult time.

Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-Bration Flower & Field Designer Series Paper has this amazingly beautiful paper that has a black background and the flowers just POPs and I used it as the central focus of this card matted with Merry Merlot Cardstock.  I paired it with a second pattern from this paper pack of tone-on-tone Bumblebee and I had it cover the entire card base.  This is now one of my favorite techniques/design elements.  The greeting comes from the Sale-a-Bration Heal Your Heart Stamp Set which has some beautiful phrases perfect for some of the hard times.

The butterfly dies is from the Butterfly Beauty Dies.  These are a kinds 2-step die with a background and a detailed die.  I cut the background in Basic Black Cardstock and the detailed out of  Pool Party Cardstock.  I wanted the butterfly to simple and stand out while not taking away from the Designer Series Paper.
