Welcome to another A Paper Pumpkin Thing, APPT, Blog Hop. Each month, our creative crew reimagines the kit, proving you can absolutely think outside the box, literally. I am hopping with the talented PPX Crew and fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators to bring you fresh ideas and useful tips.

About the September Kit – Fall for Toile

The September 2025 kit, Fall for Toile, celebrates harvest beauty with classic toile artwork and warm autumn tones. 🍁 I created two alternative cards that show how easily you can stretch your kit with a few simple touches.

🦊 Card 1: Woodland Fox Thinking of You

Clean and calm, with a neat little twist. The card base and the envelope flap share the same pattern in reverse; the base is a dark print on light, the flap is a light print on dark. Aligning them gives instant harmony. I backed the trimmed envelope panel with Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper for a subtle gleam, then wrapped Early Espresso Linen Thread around the panel several times for texture.

The greeting from the kit is stamped on a Pecan Pie cardstock panel with Early Espresso ink. I finished with the die-cut fox and circle from the kit. Simple, warm, done.

🍂 Card 2: Thankful Oak Leaf Trio

This one plays with pieces differently. I loved the Cajun Craze toile envelope, so I used that flap as a focal layer. The metallic die-cut leaves bring in just the right sparkle. The full printed card base from the kit gets to shine here, which felt like a first for me. For a crisp anchor, I added a 2-inch by 4 1/4 inch Thick Basic White panel, then framed it with Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper. Elegant without trying too hard.
