Welcome to the A Paper Pumpkin Thing “APPT” Monthly Blog Hop! The PPX Crew has joined up with some additional Stampin’ Up! demonstrators to give you even more amazing alternatives with the Paper Pumpkin Kits. We blog alternate projects from the prior month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit using the only items from the Paper Pumpkin Kit and Stampin’ Up! Products. I’m Linda Cullen from Massachusetts and you are visiting my blog Crafty Stampin’. Welcome to the APPT blog hop!! We are all working with the amazing October 2024 Paper Pumpkin. I created an alternative greeting card and a decorated Book Treat Box featuring the die-cut birds and greenery from this month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit.

My card starts as a Basic White Thick Cardstock card base. I cut up one of the kits that included card bases and attached it to the bottom of the card front.

I embossed a second piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock with the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder and attached a thin strip of the Cherry Cobbler Glimmer Specialty Paper along the bottom.

I cut 2 of the banner die cuts from the kit in half and attached them to the back of the embossed Thick Basic White Cardstock panel before attaching it to the card base with Dimensionals. I added a greeting from the kits stamp set on a Pool Party Cardstock banner cut out with the banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies stamped with Basic Gray Ink. I used the die-cut birds included in the kit and I finished the card with several Cherry Cobbler Berries.

I decorated the Book Treat Box to coordinate with my card. I used the remaining piece of the card base to cover the box top. I cut a Basic White Thick panel with the large label from the Iconic Imagery Dies and embossed it with the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder.

I added Cherry Cobbler Glimmer Specialty Paper cut with the large banner die from Stylish Shapes Dies, cut in half. Like the card, I added a greeting from the kit on Pool Party Cardstock die-cut with a banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I finished the box with the small bird die-cut and Cherry Cobbler Berries.
