We blog alternate projects from the prior month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit, using only the items from the Paper Pumpkin Kit and Stampin’ Up! Products. Cards
Welcome to the APPT blog hop!! We are all working with the amazing May 2025 Paper Pumpkin. I created two simple alternative greeting cards.
I loved the card bases included with this month’s kit.
When I created this cute card earlier in the week, the Beach Day Dies were on the Last Chance list but still available; however, they sold out on Thursday.😢 I hate showing off products that are no longer available for purchase, but it’s too cute not to share!
The card base included in the Paper Pumpkin Kit reminded me of a beach vs. the mountains, so I wanted to do a beach theme card. I used the elements from this card in the kit, just rearranged a bit, then added the lifeguard beach tower in Secret Sea Cardstock, the banner from Stylish Shapes Dies in Petal Pink Cardstock for the greeting, and inked in Secret Sea Ink. I finished with a Watercolor Paper seashell.
My second card is a large slimline (9″ x 4″). I utilized this card size to maximize the front and back of the kit’s card base, creating a larger landscape card. I cut the top 4″ off the top of the card for background. I used Scenic Adventures Dies to cut the remaining 1-1/2″ up as mountains & pine trees. I used one of the envelopes for added mountains.
I created a small banner using Stylish Shapes Dies for the greeting, stamped in Petal Pink Cardstock with Flirty Flamingo Ink.
