January 2023 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives
Welcome to the A Paper Pumpkin Thing “APPT” Monthly Blog Hop! The PPX Crew has joined up with some additional Stampin’ Up! demonstrators to give you even more amazing alternatives with the Paper Pumpkin Kits. We blog hop on the first Friday of the month with alternate projects from the prior month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit. We are all using the current month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit and Stampin’ Up! Products. I’m Linda Cullen from Massachusetts and you are visiting my blog Crafty Stampin’. At the bottom of the blog post, you will find a list of all the participating blog hoppers so you can move along from blog to blog and see all the fantastic projects.
Key to My Heart
I’ve totally fallen in love with Fresh Freesia now that it’s planning on leaving me!! 🤦♀️ I can’t get enough of a Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss combo. My alternative card for this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit uses elements from he kit and from the add-on Heart Boxes.
Key to my Heart Card
For my card, I wanted to feature the keys from the Heart Box add-on and the stamp from the kit about holding the yes to my heart. I started with the Blackberry Bliss card base and cut the Fresh Freesia from the kit to make Designer Series Paper for the bottom of the card front I added a strip of Gold Foil along the top. I added 3 heart keys from the Heart Boxes and attached them to the large vellum circle from the Kit.
I cut 2 hearts out of Gold Foil, one is from the Heart Punch Pack and the other is from the Give it A Whirl Dies. I stamped the smaller one with the lock hold stamp from this month’s kit in Stazon Ink.
I finished the card with several Pastel Pearls.
Key Cracker Box
I made this matching cracker box for little treats, ain’t it cute! I used the Cracker & Treat Box Dies with Fresh Freesia cardstock and a belly band created from the envelope from the kit.
I hope you liked my projects. Be sure to follow along with all the other Blog Hoppers. Leave a comment and let me know what you think!
