February 2024 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives
Welcome to the A Paper Pumpkin Thing “APPT” Monthly Blog Hop! The PPX Crew has joined up with some additional Stampin’ Up! demonstrators to give you even more amazing alternatives with the Paper Pumpkin Kits. We blog hop on the first Friday of the month with alternate projects from the prior month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit. We are all using the current month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit and Stampin’ Up! Products. I’m Linda Cullen from Massachusetts and you are visiting my blog Crafty Stampin’. At the bottom of the blog post, you will find a list of all the participating blog hoppers so you can move along from blog to blog and see all the fantastic projects.
Card
This month’s kit is just the cutest!!! I just love the bunnies & baby chicks. I designed 2 alternative cards focusing on these adorable faces!🐰🐥
The first card features the two sweet bunnies from one of the card bases that I fussy cut out. I started with a Thick Basic White Cardstock card base then added a panel from the inside of one of the envelopes for its Petal Pink gingham pattern for the Designer Series Paper element at the bottom. The Lemon Lime Twist 1/8″ ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack is wrapped around the card 3 times. I embossed a Thick Basic White Cardstock with the Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder and layered that on a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock with only a 1/16″ border reveal. The fussy cut bunnies are then added, with the “Happy Easter” greeting stamped in Early Espresso Ink on Petal Pink Cardstock cut out with a label from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I finished the card with several Petal Pink Foiled Gems.
My second card features the panel with the little chicks from one of the kit-designed cards. I cut out the chicks with a label die from All That Dies. I added elements behind the chick’s images, a Crumb Cake Cardstock circle cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies, a Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock starburst circle from All That Dies, and a banner made from an envelope with the green gingham, all to hide the hole the die cut created the chicks, but it also adds interest to the card. Then similar to the other card I added a base panel embossed with the Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder and wrapped the 1/4″ Petal Pink ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack around the card base.
I hope you liked my projects. Be sure to follow along with all the other Blog Hoppers Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

I love your cards! You are so creative! How did you hide the Lemon Lime Twist on the back of the bunny card? Thanks for sharing.
