February 2023 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

Welcome to the A Paper Pumpkin Thing “APPT” Monthly Blog Hop! The PPX Crew has joined up with some additional Stampin’ Up! demonstrators to give you even more amazing alternatives with the Paper Pumpkin Kits. We blog hop on the first Friday of the month with alternate projects from the prior month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit. We are all using the current month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit and Stampin’ Up! Products. I’m Linda Cullen from Massachusetts and you are visiting my blog Crafty Stampin’. Ok, this kit is just adorable❤️! My alternative cards use mostly products from the kit itself. I choose to do a bit of color blocking on both cards.

My first card starts with a Thick Basic White cardstock card base. I added 1/2″ stripes in So Saffron, Balmy Blue, Pear Pizzazz, and Blushing Bride cardstock across the center. I used one of the card bases from the kit with the Flirty Flamingo cross-hatch pattern for my first panel, popped up on Dimensionals. I took a second card base from the kit with an ombre sky effect and die-cut out the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I also die cut the “grass” from the same stitched circle and attached them together with Seal. The bunny and cloud die cuts are attached with Dimensionals.

The greeting from the kit is stamped in Memento Ink on one of the included tags. I finished the card with the enamel raindrops & dots included in the kit.

I kept the second card very similar to the first. My color blocking goes down the side and I added one of the kites from the kit that I colored with Flirty Flamingo Light Stampin’ Blends.
