April 2024 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives
Welcome to the A Paper Pumpkin Thing “APPT” Monthly Blog Hop! The PPX Crew has joined up with some additional Stampin’ Up! demonstrators to give you even more amazing alternatives with the Paper Pumpkin Kits. We blog alternate projects from the prior month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit using the only items from the Paper Pumpkin Kit and Stampin’ Up! Products. I’m Linda Cullen from Massachusetts and you are visiting my blog Crafty Stampin’. Card & Box
My alternatives for this month’s kit is this cute little hinged top box and a simple card. I created both out of one card base from the kit.
I started with a Lost Lagoon Cardstock card base that I cut the bottom 1-1/8″ off. I added a small strip of Gold Foil along the cut edge. I cut a 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ square of the butterfly card base leaving a sliver of the Lost Lagoon card base peeking out above the gold foil. The add-on for this quarter, Thanks & Beyond Dies, included the “thanks” die which I die cut with the gold foil and simply attached with Seal to the front of the card. I finished off the front with one of the die-cut butterflies from the kit.
I created a hinged top box with the second half of the card base from the Paper Pumpkin Kit. I included a PDF of the score & cuts required for the box. The bottom of the box is a piece of Lost Lagoon Cardstock. I used the new Basic Beige Bordered Ribbon to keep the box closed and fussy cut the butterfly from it’s panel an attached it to the front.
