You Can Create It

I’m so excited to be part of the international “You Can Create It!” group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.  The group was started by German demonstrators Anja Luft and Heike Fallwickl as a challenge to see what different and beautiful projects can be created from the same list of just a few materials.

Every trimester there are 4 monthly envelopes plus an extra envelope.  Each designer will use the monthly envelope, items from the extras envelope, and anything else they wish to add to create projects that we will share on the 2nd of the month.  You can join in by purchasing the quarterly project kit and you can share your creations on my Facebook VIP site, Crafty Stampin’ VIP Stampers, and use the hashtag #ycci. My Creation – Sweet Days of Autumn

I made this fun fold card based on a design I saw Kate Deignan from the 12 x 12 cardstock shop make using the Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper.

The center section is its own small card (3 x 4) and the front flips over the diagonal cut of the main card base.

To create this card, cut your card base (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″) with Basic White Thick, score @ 4 1/4″, then cut the card front on a diagonal.

Cut the Designer Series Paper included in the envelope down to 4″ x 5 1/4″, and cut the one that will for the front on the diagonal and attach to the the card base with Seal.

I used a few stickers from the Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper & Sticker Sheet for my card.  I wanted to apply them with Dimensionals, so I attached them to the cut-off Thick Basic White panel and cut them out.  I left a border on the greeting.

The smaller center card has an Old Olive Cardstock backing & a Cajun Craze Cardstock panel on the front.

I added several leaves die-cut from Autumn Leaves Dies with a bit of Old Olive ink on the edges with Sponge Daubers.  I finished the card with a few of the wood-grained maple leaves from the Autumn to Remember Scrapbook Workshop Kit.

 

I hope you liked my project. The rest of the team’s projects have the same base supplies, and it’s always amazing to see how different each one can be.
