January Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card
Welcome to January Paper Pumpkin PPX Crew Monthly Blog Hop. The PPX Crew is a group of demonstrators who have gotten together to give our subscribers and team members exclusive monthly alternative videos each month with ideas from that month’s kit. We have decided to provide everyone with a bit of inspiration via a monthly Blog Hop. We are all using the current month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit and Stampin’ Up! Products. I’m Linda Cullen from Massachusetts, USA and you are visiting my blog Crafty Stampin’. “Love is in the air”…sing with me…”everywhere I look around”. That seems like the perfect song to have stuck in your head this time of year with the Valentine’s Day projects. I created this lovely wedding, anniversary, Valentine’s, simply love card with components from this past month’s kit.
I started with a Thick Very Vanilla card base. I then ripped up one of the included envelopes to use the inside pattern for the base panel that I die cut with the largest Rectangle Stitched Die. This pattern reminds me of the Louis Vuitton bags. I toned that pattern down a bit by adding a Vellum layer cut with the 2nd largest rectangle.
I took one of the Vanilla tri-fold hearts and cut it apart at the folds. I placed the dotted heart on an angle, cutting off the side that had the fold. I added the vellum heart from the kit over the top. I took the XOXO heart and cut out just the letters with the 2nd largest of the Stitched Rectangles that are long and thin.
I added one of the greetings from the kit by heat-embossing it in Gold from the Metallics Embossing Powders and die cut the greeting with the lone Stitched Rectangle die that is closest to a square.
I finished it off with several adhesive sequins from the kit.
