We attend lots of kids birthday parties. Some times it seems like we will have at least one a week. For the last one, I found this cute polkadot bag and it screamed MELON MAMBO. I see the world in Stampin’ Up! colors, do you?
To dress the bag up I added a cute cupcake tag, tissue paper which I rolled with wheel in melon mambo, and a 3×3 gift card that attached to the bag with a clear pocket.
The clear pocket is a 4″ x 6″ Cellophane bag (102757) found on page 181 of the Idea Book & Catalog. I cut it down to about 3 1/2″ tall and used the extra large oval punch to create a easy way to get the card in and out, and then it was snailed to the outside of the bag.
Here’s the card!, it also features a little cupcake made with the Create a Cupcake stamp set and the Cupcake Builder Punch. What little kids doesn’t love cupcakes? I love the new framelits…so versatile and easy to use. This is the first time I used my distressed dots background stamp, and I love it, I’ll have to pull it out a lot more. I finished it off with a bit of bakers twine!
The coordinating tag is just so cute!! I used the two tags die as a base and added the cupcake and used two different stamp sets to add the “Happy Birthday!” The happy is from the retired “Happy Everything” (never get rid of a good sentiment stamp set!!) and the birthday is from the Hostess set “Happiest Birthday Wishes”. I colored the word birthday with a Stampin Write marker so that only the one word showed up, and not the words above or the dots below.
